So I tend to lean more towards the Solana side for development due to the low TPS and easy fees for a L1, but there always seemed to be a problem when I worked at startups - which is many ETH devs did not want to learn Solana due to the differences between ETH and SOL.
And there are many.
Firstly, PDAs and transactions are completely different - just looking at a block explorer, one would have to take a class to understand what is going on between accounts and instructions and the gas compute.
I decided to take on this challenge since many Solana developers only understand the basics of transactions and thus build applications that fail during high network traffic times, and do not take advantage of memos which can store app specific data.
I would love to know what ETH devs think of Solana, if they have ever tried Solana, and if they are interested I can share the API I built to see if they think integrating Solana now becomes much easier.
