A satoshi question

Ok, so we all know you can buy bitcoin in any amount you want. My question(s) are these:

Is the price of bitcoin scaring off small investors? I've talked to people who wonder what the point of owning a small fraction of a btc is especially considering the volumes some of the bigger holders have. Yes, I'm looking at you Michael.

So the follow up to that is, when do we start denoting its value in Satoshis?

For reference, I bought a whole btc at 10k and still have it. These questions come from conversations with people who know very little about it
